Arrival & Lunch
Upon arrival, you will meet your guides at the airport and head to the capital, Hadibo, for a traditional local lunch.
Hoq Cave Expedition
We’ll then proceed to our first major adventure: a hike to explore Hoq Cave, the largest and most impressive cave on Socotra Island.
Arher Beach
After descending, we move to Arher, famous for its massive white sand dunes meeting the ocean.
•Evening: Dinner and camping under the stars at Arher.
Homhil Reserve
Wake up to the sunrise and explore Homhil, home to rare Boswellia (frankincense) trees and a stunning natural infinity pool overlooking the sea.
Wadi Qariyah
A refreshing lunch stop in the nearby wadi.
Dihamri Marine Protected Area
An afternoon of snorkeling in Socotra’s premier coral reef spot, teeming with diverse marine life.
Delisha Beach
We conclude the day at Delisha beach for a peaceful night of seaside camping.
Kalysan
A journey to the spectacular freshwater pools of Kalysan for a morning swim amidst white limestone canyons.
Picnic Lunch
A light lunch served after our swim.
Zahek Dunes
We head south to the Noged region to witness the “white sea” of Zahek Sand Dunes.
Evening: A delightful dinner and a cozy night of camping among the dunes.
Dagub Cave
Explore the incredible formations of Dagub Cave in the Noged area.
Diksam Plateau
We ascend to the high plateau, famous for its ancient Dragon’s Blood Trees.
Firmhin Reserve
Wander through the Dragon’s Blood Forest, the highest concentration of these prehistoric trees on Earth.
Evening: Camping in the heart of the forest.

Enjoy the serene morning landscapes before heading west.
Detwah Lagoon
Arrive at the largest and most breathtaking lagoon on the island. The turquoise waters and white sands are world-class.
Cave Man Encounter
A unique opportunity to visit the famous local “Cave Man” and learn about traditional island life.
Evening: Overnight camping at Detwah.
Dolphin Watching
We take a boat tour from Qalansyia to spot pods of playful dolphins.
Shoab Beach
Relax at the secluded and pristine Shoab Beach, accessible only by boat.
Sunset at Detwah
Return to our camp to witness a breathtaking sunset painting the skies over the lagoon.
Farewell Breakfast
We gather for a final meal together to share memories of the journey.
Departure
Transfer back to the airport for your flight home. Safe travels, until our paths cross again!

❌ What’s Not Included
- - Flights - There are very limited flights to Socotra from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. These must be arranged well in advance. Typical cost of a return flight is around USD 930. We book flights for our customers. At present time, there are flights to Socotra from Jeddah on Tuesdays every week with return flights on Mondays.
- - Visa fees - $160.
- - Drone permit - we can arrange this permit. Cost is $100.
- - Personal expenses (souvenirs, tips, extra drinks/snacks)
ℹ️ Practical Notes for Travelers
Fitness Level: Moderate. Daily hikes of 1–3 hours, some steep climbs, and uneven terrain. Travelers should be comfortable with trekking and camping.
Accommodation: Wild camping throughout. Basic tents and mattresses are provided. Facilities are simple—expect bucket showers or natural springs, and limited electricity.
Meals: Freshly prepared local meals included. Vegetarian options can be arranged with advance notice.
Transport: 4×4 vehicles for inland travel; small fishing boats for coastal transfers.

Cancellation up to 31 days before the trip starting date – full refund minus visa fees ($160), drone permit (if paid), minus credit card processing fees (3.5%).
Cancellation 30 days up to 7 days before your arrival – 50% of deposit refund minus visa fees ($160), drone permit (if paid), minus credit card processing fees (3.5%).
Cancellation less than 7 days before your arrival date – no refund.
Yes, and we encourage you to do so. We need to arrange a permit for you, which you will have to present when entering Socotra. The cost of the permit is $100 and takes 3 business days, so please let us know at least a few days in advance of your trip.
Yes, we arrange a visitor visa for you. For the visa, you need to provide us with a copy of your passport and a booked return flight ticket.
