Trip Itinerary
Hadibo
Upon arrival on the first day, we will pick you up from the airport, then head to enjoy lunch at a restaurant located in the capital, Hadibo.
Arher
We’ll then proceed to our initial destination, Arher, renowned as one of the finest areas on the island. Here, a vast sandy mountain and a picturesque beach await exploration. Our evening will consist of dinner and camping in this scenic location.
Hoq Cave
Following a pleasant breakfast in Arher, our day takes an adventurous turn as we explore Hoq Cave, the largest cave on Socotra. A hiking journey awaits, promising an immersive experience into the island’s geological wonders.
Arher
After descending from the cave, we return to our campsite for a satisfying dinner. We will spend the night there.
Homhil
As the sun rises on our Socotra adventure, we set our sights on Homhil Reserve. We dive into the refreshing natural pool, gazing out over the sea and have lunch at Wadi Qariyah nearby. The reserve is adorned with rare trees and unique Flora, which we will explore together.
Dihamri
Then our journey continues to the Dihamri Marine Protected Area. Famous for its coral reefs and diverse marine life, we will do snorkeling in this underwater spectacle.
Delisha Beach
At the end of our day we will go to Delisha beach to spend the night and camp there.
Kalysan Wadi
We’ll kick off the day with a journey to Kalysan Wadi, where we’ll indulge in freshwater swimming amidst stunning surroundings. Following our refreshing swim, a light picnic lunch awaits.
Zahek
Post-picnic, we’ll make our way to the picturesque Zahek Sand Dunes in the Noged region, setting the stage for a delightful dinner and a cozy night of camping.
Dagub Cave
On the fifth day we will have a trip within the stunning Noged area, where we’ll explore the incredible Dagub Cave.
Dixsam Plateau
After that, we will go to Diksam, famous for the Dragon’s Blood Trees, specifically to the Firmhin Reserve, also known as the Dragon’s Blood Forest.
Firmhin Forest
We will set up camp in the middle of the Dragon’s Blood Trees forest and share a wonderful dinner around a fire under the stars. If the sky is clear, we will see the Milky Way.
Qalansyia
Our morning will unfold amidst the serene landscapes of the Firmhin Reserve. Following that, we’ll journey to Qalansiya, making our way to Detwah.
Detwah Lagoon & Cave Man
Detwah is the largest beach on Socotra Island, for an overnight camping experience. During our stay, we’ll have the unique opportunity to visit the famous Cave Man, who lives within a small cave on the island and try delicious sea food from him.
Boat Tour at Shoab Beach
Get ready for an exciting adventure on the 7th day with a boat tour to spot dolphins, where you’ll try local way to fishing, and have a refreshing swim at Shoab Beach, the most wonderful beach of the island.
Detwah
After returning to our Detwah Beach camp, we’ll soak in the surroundings, concluding the day with the breathtaking beauty of the sunset painting the skies over Detwah.
Breakfast
Concluding our journey on the 8th day, we’ll gather for a farewell breakfast, sharing a final meal together and we may do a visit of the traditional fish market.
Departure
Following this, we’ll head to the airport for departure. It’s a simple yet meaningful way to wrap up our time in Socotra. Safe travels await, and perhaps our paths will cross again in the future.

- - Flights - There are very limited flights to Socotra from Abu Dhabi. These are government charter flights and typically must be arranged well in advance. The current cost of a return flight is USD 930. We can book the flight for you - just let us know. You can review flight schedules on our website.
- - Visa fees - $160.
- - Drone permit - we can arrange this permit. Cost is $100.
- - Personal expenses (souvenirs, tips, extra drinks/snacks)
ℹ️ Practical Notes for Travelers
Fitness Level: Moderate. Daily hikes of 1–3 hours, some steep climbs, and uneven terrain. Travelers should be comfortable with trekking and camping.
Accommodation: Wild camping throughout. Basic tents and mattresses are provided. Facilities are simple—expect bucket showers or natural springs, and limited electricity.
Meals: Freshly prepared local meals included. Vegetarian options can be arranged with advance notice.
Transport: 4×4 vehicles for inland travel; small fishing boats for coastal transfers.

Yes, and we encourage you to do so. We need to arrange a permit for you, which you will have to present when entering Socotra. The cost of the permit is $100 and takes 3 business days, so please let us know at least a few days in advance of your trip.
Yes, we arrange a visitor visa for you. For the visa, you need to provide us with a copy of your passport and a booked return flight ticket.
